Captains of the July 3rd, Champagne Volleyball Tournament, this is for you:
Here is a link to the Team Roster/Waiver (pdf) that needs to be signed by everyone playing on your team. We have also included the rules of the tournament down below so you can go over them in advance.
Please print the Waiver_CVT_2014-7-26 (waiver) and have your teammates all sign it. If you have someone running later than you when you arrive, please still check-in so we know you are there, pay any tournament fees that are unpaid, and for the teams that registered prior to July 20th you can pick up your shirts. However, until the Team Roster/Waiver is turned in, you will not receive your drink tickets for the team. (We will have more blanks at check-in in case you forget yours.)
Speaking of shirts, we only had 23 teams that had registered by the cut-off date for the complimentary shirts. We ordered approximately another 20 teams worth of shirts in hopes of a good turnout. We weren’t expecting over 60 teams, so unfortunately we will not have shirts for many of you. Shirts will be given out first to the teams that pre-registered by the 20th as requested, then we will go team-by-team in order of registration date until we run out.
We DO have a back-up plan for those interested in getting a commemorative CVT shirt: We will take payments on additional shirts at the shirt pickup counter for the teams wanting more than 4, or for the teams that didn’t register in time for their shirts. The additional shirts will be pre-ordered for $15 each for those of you that want them. Payment must be made at the time of your order, and then when they have been delivered to us we will contact you and have them at the club during leagues for you to pick up.
Agenda:
- 4:30 – check-in; T-shirt pick up for the Pre-Registered by 7/20 teams
- 5:00 – (Provided all teams have checked in) we can get started
- 5:15 – All pool play underway; T-shirt pick up for the teams, in order they registered, while shirts last
- 9:00 – Serving Contest – take a ball with you and get in line – serving the ball over the next, one at a time, any prize you hit is yours to keep!
- 9:30 – Playoffs begins, top teams of each division will be invited to participate
- 11:15 – Championship matches will begin on court 1 – each division (1 at a time)

Because we are now on a waiting list, and because we want to get things figured out tonight for pool play, please take a look at the list and ensure you are in the right division, (No sandbagging, we are ALL drinking), and if you see any registration errors let us know immediately. As we are finalizing the pools we will be able to contact and add a few more teams from the waiting list (depending on their division).
Thank-you for already making this tournament a success. Please remind your teammates that the staff will be busting their butts to accommodate all the ‘complimentary drinks’ and although it may look and appear free, they still work for tips. The tournament is notorious for sending a rush of players all wanting drinks at the same time and your patience at those times will be appreciated.
